The 3rd Annual Meridian Community Block Party presented by RehabAuthority Physical Therapy will offer fun for the whole family. Building on the success of last year, this will be a great way to send the summer out on a high note. This is going to be a huge, free event focused on giving Meridian families a full day of fun at the park. We want to invite everyone to come out and have a great time. The event will be hosted at Settlers Park on September 8th from 10:00am-5:00pm and will include a variety of free activities. We will be kicking off the day with a family 5k relay race. Throughout the day music will be provided by our good friends from Mix 106 and 104.3 Wow Country. Both radio stations are also giving away 2 family trips to Lagoon as well as a big screen TV and gaming system! Cheerleaders Sports Bar & Grill and RehabAuthority are teaming up to cook burgers and dogs from 11:00-2:00 and there will be other food vendors available. Most of the instructors offering classes in the Meridian Parks and Recreation Fall Activity Guide will also be on hand giving demonstrations and allowing free participation so you can get a sneak peak at what their classes are like. Add in some fun inflatables, including a climbing wall, 180 foot obstacle course, video games, giant hamster balls, flag football skills competitions and drills hosted by Meridian PAL plus many other activities and the Meridian Community Block Party is going to be an event worth checking out again!
