The Chambers of Commerce from throughout the Treasure Valley are getting together for a joint social event with terrific food and wines from local restaurants on Thursday, September 9, from 5:30 - 7:30 pm, at the Courtyard by Marriot located at 1789 South Eagle Road (near the corner of Eagle & Overland Roads). Admission is free and everyone is welcome. No RSVP is needed... just stop by!

Representatives from the Meridian, Caldwell, Eagle, Boise, Nampa, and Garden City Chambers will be in attendance!

A public meeting with information and discussion about our area's natural hazards and emergency preparedness strategies will be held Wednesday, September 15, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, at Meridian City Hall, located at 33 E. Broadway Avenue in downtown Meridian.

Experts from the Ada County Hazard Mitigation Planning Steering Committee will be present to lead the discussion and answer questions. They will also demonstrate some computerized models that are assisting them in their work.

Struggling to find some free family fun?! Join the University of Phoenix Idaho Campus in Meridian for its "Reinventing Family Time" event in Saturday, September 18, from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm. The address is: 1422 S. Tech Lane (off Overland Road just west of Wahooz Fun Center).

Enjoy fun challenges, family games, pony rides, balloon animals, face painting, self-defense demos, raffle prizes, computer workshops, and refreshments while supplies last.

Come celebrate the end of another great summer in Meridian with this first time event!  Meridian Settlers Park, located at the corner of Meridian Road & Ustick Road, will play host to bands, free food, inflatable toys, a climbing wall, and tons of games and activities for all ages.  Interested in trying out one of the classes offered by Meridian Parks & Recreation?  Several instructors will be there giving demos and hosting class previews!  Stop by this free event any time between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm!  It's where neighbors and fun come together!
