The Chambers of Commerce from throughout the Treasure Valley are getting together for a joint social event with terrific food and wines from local restaurants on Thursday, September 9, from 5:30 - 7:30 pm, at the Courtyard by Marriot located at 1789 South Eagle Road (near the corner of Eagle & Overland Roads). Admission is free and everyone is welcome. No RSVP is needed... just stop by!

A public meeting with information and discussion about our area's natural hazards and emergency preparedness strategies will be held Wednesday, September 15, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, at Meridian City Hall, located at 33 E. Broadway Avenue in downtown Meridian.
Experts from the Ada County Hazard Mitigation Planning Steering Committee will be present to lead the discussion and answer questions. They will also demonstrate some computerized models that are assisting them in their work.
