WHERE: The Hill (in front of the new South Meridian Family YMCA) - 5155 S. Hillsdale Ave., Meridian, Idaho 83642

WHAT: Ribbon cutting, Grand Opening and interactive tours of The Hill complex, including the Treasure Valley Family YMCA South Meridian Branch, the St. Luke’s Center for Lifestyle Medicine, Hillsdale Park and the site of Meridian Library’s future “Tiny Library.”

The Hill is a 22.5 acre campus that comprises five community partners focused on creating one hub for education, recreation, wellness and literacy in the area. This unique collaboration is already garnering national attention, and serves as a model for other communities across the country, looking to replicate this partnership.

Key elements include:

Hillsdale Elementary that opened in 2016 with more than 650 students.

Hillsdale Park, a 10-acre agricultural themed city park that includes a walking path, playground, water feature and more. It will serve the students at Hillsdale Elementary and the community.  

South Meridian Family YMCA which includes youth development centers, fitness areas, a large indoor family play structure for all ages, gathering space, gyms and classrooms.

St. Luke’s Center for Lifestyle Medicine (within the Y) that will help clients address high-risk health conditions by focusing on diet, physical activity, medication management, positive psychology and tobacco avoidance.

St. Luke’s Children’s Pediatrics (within the Y), a collaborative clinic led by board certified Pediatricians and open to all children.

Meridian Library District’s unique “Tiny Library” outside of the South Meridian Family YMCA that will open in fall 2018.
