Fireworks Information

Public safety is of the utmost concern for the Meridian Fire Department. The use of illegal fireworks can

put you and the public in danger. Please review the following information to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable 4th of July season.

Disposal of Fireworks:

After 11:59pm on July 5th it is illegal to be in posession or set-off fireworks. For the New Year's celebration, you may light fireworks from December 26 through 11:59 p.m. on January 1st. For proper disposal please soak in water for 24 hours and then place in trash, or drop off at your local Fire Station.
