Independence Day Festival
Welcome to Independence Day in Meridian!

The Meridian Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to partner with the Meridian Speedway to bring a wonderful Independence Day Festival to the residents of Meridian to celebrate our country's freedom. While the Speedway runs their scheduled races on the evening of the 4th of July, the Parks and Recreation Departments hosts an event in neighboring Storey Park. The event includes inflatable toys, a climbing wall, and live bands. The evening culminates with a spectacular fireworks display that is visible throughout the Treasure Valley. July 4th, 2012
3:00pm - Event begins with inflatable toys, climbing wall and food vendors available in Storey Park.
3:00pm - "Dakota Mad Band" begins live performance in the Storey Park picnic shelter.
5:30pm - "Social Fallout" begins live performance in the Storey Park picnic shelter.
6:30pm - Meridian Speedway races begin.
7:00pm - Gate to the baseball field in Storey Park opens to allow for more fireworks viewing area.
7:30pm - "Big Wow" begins live performance in the Storey Park picnic shelter.
9:30pm - Safe and Sane fireworks area opens in the Chamber of Commerce parking lot. No aerial fireworks allowed!
Approximately 10:15pm - Fireworks display begins.
