Meridian Residents Invited to Coffee with the Mayor

Meridian, ID – (September 24, 2010) – On Tuesday, September 28, 2010, Wahooz Family Fun Zone will host Coffee with the Mayor, from 8:00 – 9:30 am, at 1385 S. Blue Marlin Lane in Meridian.  This event is free and open to the public, and no reservations are necessary to attend.

Coffee with the Mayor is an open-house style gathering which provides people who live or work in Meridian a unique opportunity to meet and mingle with Meridian Mayor Tammy de Weerd and other City leaders in a casual, friendly environment. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions, discuss neighborhood issues, network, and pick up information about upcoming community events.

Mayor De Weerd explains, “This is a great format that helps people get their questions answered quickly and allows common interests to be discussed.” She adds, “We have representatives from every department on hand for information to be shared and solutions to be found.”

Coffee with the Mayor gatherings are generally held five times a year.  For more information about this event or to inquire about hosting a future Coffee with the Mayor gathering in Meridian, please contact Shelly Houston in the Meridian Mayor’s Office at 489-0531.
