CITY OF MERIDIAN SEEKS TREE DONATION FOR THE HOLIDAYS

 

Meridian, ID – (October 6, 2010) – The Meridian Parks and Recreation Department is seeking the donation of a large, live, evergreen tree for the City’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. The ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, December 4, 2010 in Generations Plaza in downtown Meridian. 

 

In order to be considered, a tree must be located in or around the Meridian area,

be 35 feet or taller, and be accessible from the front or side yard of the property. 

 

The tree will be displayed at Generations Plaza, located on the corner of Main Street and E. Idaho Avenue, throughout the month of December and be illuminated each night to help the City of Meridian celebrate the holidays.

 

Anyone interested in donating a tree should contact Meridian Parks Superintendent Elroy Huff at 888-3579 by Monday, November 1, 2010.
