Meridian Residents Invited to Coffee with the Mayor

Meridian, ID – (September 9, 2011) – On Tuesday, September 13, 2011, Brownfield’s Prosthetics and Orthotics will host Coffee with the Mayor, from 8:00 – 9:30 a.m., at its new location at 1912 E. Franklin Road in Meridian.  This event is free and open to the public, and no reservations are necessary to attend.

Mayor Tammy de Weerd explains, “This is a great format that helps people get their questions answered quickly and allows community issues to be discussed.” She adds, “We have representatives from every City department on hand to lend their expertise and share information with those who attend. Fresh ideas, solutions to challenging issues, and new business relationships have resulted from these informal get-togethers.”

Coffee with the Mayor is an open-house style gathering which provides people who live or work in Meridian a unique opportunity to meet and mingle with Meridian Mayor Tammy de Weerd and other City leaders in a casual, friendly environment. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions, discuss neighborhood issues, network, and pick up information about community programs and upcoming events.

Coffee with the Mayor gatherings are generally held five times a year.  For more information about this event or to inquire about hosting a future Coffee with the Mayor gathering in Meridian, please contact Shelly Houston in the Meridian Mayor’s Office at 888-4433.
