Memorial Tree Program

The City of Meridian Parks and Recreation Department Memorial Tree Program provides an opportunity for groups or individuals to purchase a tree and plaque for someone special or "in memory" of someone special.
A Memorial Tree may be located in Tully Park (see our City parks). The cost of a tree and 12"x6" granite plaque cast in concrete is $290. A tree can be purchased without a plaque for $230. Trees may be planted March through November depending on conditions. Maintenance of memorial trees will be a high priority to our parks staff, and the City will be responsible for tree replacement, due to damage from insect or soil contamination. The memorial plaque will be located inside the tree ring of each tree.
To purchase a Memorial Tree, download the Memorial Tree Form, fill out the bottom section and return it to the Meridian Parks and Recreation Department with payment. Also below is a list of approved trees to select your Memorial Tree from. Other tree types may be allowed but must be approved by Meridian Parks and Recreation.
