Childrens Winterland Festival

Saturday December 1st, 2012

Meridian City Hall

The Children's Winterland Festival is a wonderful community event that is designed to get everyone into the Christmas spirit and collect food for the Meridian Food Bank!  Bring your kids to Meridian City Hall, 33 E. Broadway Ave., on Saturday, December 1st from 10am-3pm so they can enjoy a variety of Christmas themed games and activities including pictures with Santa, cookie decorating, face painting, toy building, ornament making, Christmas card making, letters to Santa, free hot chocolate and coffee and much more!  Participation is free with a food donation of any size for the Meridian Food Bank.  Download the Meridian Food Bank's shopping list.

NEW IN 2012!!  Introducing the first Meridian Gingerbread House Contest sponsored by Modern Woodmen of America, Meridian Chapter!  Cash prizes in four divisions including "People's Choice" divisions.  Help us collect even more food for the Meridian Food Bank by participating in this fun contest!  For those who don't enter the contest, you can cast your People's Choice vote at the event for the best gingerbread house by dropping a non-perishable food item in the box in front of your choice so make sure you bring plenty of food for entry into the Winterland Festival and for voting!  Download the contest flyer here for all the details!

All booths at the event are staffed by volunteers from local businesses, organizations, and individuals who want to make a difference in their community!  If you are interested in getting involved, please download the Booth Application below or contact Colin Moss at the Meridian Parks and Recreation Department at 888-3579 or cmoss@meridiancity.org.
