City Council President - Treg Bernt
Treg Bernt is a life long Idahoan. He was born and raised in Pocatello, ID and graduated from Pocatello High School. Treg also attended Idaho State University and graduated with a B.A. degree in Speech Communication.
Treg and his family moved to Meridian in 2003. He began working for a flooring manufacturer as a Territory Manager. Currently, Treg is self employed and owns and operates his own flooring business in the Treasure Valley, which is run in conjunction with his family flooring business in Pocatello.
Treg has always valued community involvement. He is a past President of the City of Meridian Parks & Recreation Commission and served on the Planning & Zoning Commission before being elected to the Meridian City Council. Currently, Treg is a board member of the Meridian Development Corporation, Meridian's urban renewal district. He also serves as Vice Chair of the Association of Idaho Cities Legislative Committee. During his first term on City Council, Treg gained invaluable experience in his time serving as a board member of the Community Planning Association of Southwest Idaho (COMPASS).
If Treg isn't working or at City Hall; you will find him on a river fly fishing, on a snow board shredding powder, hunting in the mountains, on a golf course, or spending quality time with his wife, Tiffanie and his 3 children.
