Join us for the City’s first ever Telephone Town Hall! The pre-event sign-up has concluded but you can call 208-969-8140 at 6pm on Wed, Sept. 26 to join the call. Mark your calendars and set a reminder to be part of the conversation regarding Meridian’s future from home.
The topic of the call is the City’s Comprehensive Plan Update and the vision for the community. Those on the phone will get to be part of the conversation regarding opportunities for Meridian. The agenda includes an overview of the Comprehensive Plan, where the City is in the process, live polling (utilizing the keypads on phones) and questions from attendees on the phone.
“We know our citizens lead busy lives but we also know that in many cases they want to be involved in their local government. We hope this Telephone Town Hall will give those people who might not have the time to attend a quarterly Town Hall on site, the ability to participate from their phones,” said Robert Simison, Mayor’s Chief of Staff, City of Meridian. “It is imperative we have the voice of the citizens included in our Comprehensive Plan update, so this is one more way to reach them.”
A recording of the call will be posted to the City of Meridian website the following day meridiancity.org. To learn more about the Comprehensive Plan process or to get involved visit meridiancity.org/compplan.
