Below are instructions to watch virtual the meetings without interacting, or to join as a participant who will provide public testimony.

VIEW LIVE STREAM WITHOUT PROVIDING PUBLIC TESTIMONY:

You can watch a live stream of the meeting online from the comfort and safety of your home. The meeting will be live streamed at both of the following locations.

PROVIDE PUBLIC TESTIMONY:

IN REAL TIME:

Step 1: View the resources and tips and tricks below to become familiar with the Zoom platform and prepare for the meeting

Step 2: For Council Meetings Use Council Sign-Up Link.   For Planning and Zoning Use PZ Signup Link.

Step 3: Watch for a reply email with a link to join the meeting

Note: Check Spam or Junk if you have not received an email within 2 hours.

Step 4: Follow the link provided to participate with video or dial the phone number to participate by phone without video

IN ADVANCE:

If you are unavailable to participate in real-time, you can submit your testimony in advance in a number of ways. All forms of testimony hold the same weight.

Written testimony may be submitted by email to cityclerk@meridiancity.org or by text message by texting “Comment” to 31996. Video testimony can be recorded in advance and sent by email to cityclerk@meridiancity.org. Comments can also be left by voicemail. Please call (208) 288-5607 to record your voice testimony.

RESOURCES & TIPS TO PARTICIPATE BY PHONE ON ZOOM (no video):

• Dial an in-country number. If you dial a toll number, your carrier rates will apply.

• You will be prompted to enter the meeting ID - the nine (9), ten (10), or eleven (11) digit ID provided to you by the host, followed by #.

• If the meeting has not already started and join before host is not enabled, you will be prompted to enter the host key to start the meeting, or to press # to wait if you are participant.

• If you’re using Zoom, you may need to download the zoom meeting app to your device.

• If using cellular, stay in one place where you have a good signal.

RESOURCES & TIPS TO PARTICIPATE ON ZOOM (with video):

• If you’re using computer audio, make sure you have a mic if you need to talk. (If not, use the call in feature)

• Be mindful of your attire and background if you plan to participate over video.

• If you have audio problems, switch to the phone call option.

• If you’re using Zoom, you may need to download the zoom meeting app to your device.

• If using cellular, stay in one place where you have a good signal.

Joining a Meeting

You can join a meeting by clicking the meeting link or by going to join.zoom.us and entering in the meeting ID. This information will be sent to you by email once you sign up.

Use COUNCIL MEETING SIGNUP to provide Council meeting public testimony.

Use PLANNING/ZONING SIGNUP to provide Planning and Zoning public testimony.

On most devices, you can join computer/device audio by clicking Join Audio, Join with Computer Audio, or Audio to access the audio settings. Learn more about connecting your audio.
Yes, as long as the Bluetooth device is compatible with the computer or mobile device that you are using.
While you are not required to have a webcam to join a Zoom Meeting or Webinar, you will not be able to transmit video of yourself without one. You will continue to be able to listen and speak when called upon for Public Testimony. You will also be able to view video of other participants that do have cameras.
