I’m grateful that our community is one of the safest in Idaho. We have a tremendous public safety team, who will be working throughout the holidays, ensuring our safety. We want to work together with you!

During the holidays the traffic tends to increase. Because of this, I would urge all of you to have patience with other drivers and remember it’s the season to be MERRY.
When it comes to home safety, the Meridian Fire Department says one quarter of Christmas tree fires are caused by electrical problems and although these types of fires are not common, when a Christmas tree fire does occur, it can be serious. So here are some tips from the Meridian Fire Department:
As I typed the title of this blog, I thought about the importance of being able to live in a safe community. These are two things the Meridian Police and Fire Departments are going above and beyond to provide for us not only over the holidays, but year round – and for that, I am so thankful!
