The Youth Academy is designed to give Meridian youth the opportunity to learn about the police department and gain an understanding of the functions and responsibilities that come with providing law enforcement services in the City of Meridian.
We are currently accepting applications for the 2024 Youth Safety Academy, Class 4!
The Academy will be June 24th-28th and will meet 10:00AM-4:00PM each day. Students must be able to attend all 5 days.
During these 5 days the class will participate in various presentations given by Meridian Police Department personnel such as patrol functions, detectives, CSI, SWAT, K9 unit, traffic stops, and much more.
To ensure that all students will fully benefit from this program, we kindly request that you participate only if you can commit to attending all five days, have a genuine interest in the course content, and are ready to actively engage, and focus on classroom activities and presentations.
Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Open to teens, ages 14-18. The youth applicant must fill out the application.
