The Meridian Public Works Department is made up of five divisions that support the overall mission to anticipate, plan, and provide exemplary public services and facilities that support the needs of our growing community in an efficient, customer-focused, and financially responsible manner.
The five divisions consist of Administration, Business Operations, Engineering, Water, and Wastewater services. Within these divisions are specific focus areas including inspections, environmental efforts, streetlight coordination, communications, and capital projects and facilities.
We operate out of three locations including City Hall, our Water Division, and Wastewater Resource Recovery Facility.
Meridian has been the fastest-growing city in Idaho for over 20 years and consistently voted a “Top Place to Live”. The Public Works Department plays an instrumental role by managing the City infrastructure while meeting Federal regulatory permit standards.
Streets, sidewalks, storm drains, and traffic signals are managed by the Ada County Highway District (ACHD).
Your local trash and recycling services are managed by Republic Services.
