Tree Recycling

Holiday tree pick-up is typically the first week in January. 

Tree recycling dates: January 2 - 6, 2023 

To have your tree picked up curbside for free, please see the requirements below.

Guidelines:

  • Remove all decorations including flocking, ornaments, tinsel, lights, etc.
  • If the tree is 6 feet or longer, cut sections of 4 feet or less (bundle sections together).
  • Set the tree 3 feet from your trash cart(s) on your regularly scheduled day.
  • NO artificial trees.

Please note that trees are collected by a separate truck, which may come at a different time than your regular trash pickup.

Additional Free Disposal Locations (December 26 2022 - January 7, 2023):

Meridian residents can drop off trees at the following locations; the above guidelines still apply:

  • Meridian Transfer Station- 2130 W Franklin Rd., Meridian | 208-345-1265
  • Ada County Landfill- 10300 N Seamans Gulch Rd., Boise | 208-577-4725

 

Trees are brought to the Ada County Landfill, where they are collected and composted by Timber Creek Recycling.
