MERIDIAN, ID – The Meridian Arts Commission (MAC) is seeking nominations for the 3^rd biennial Tammy de Weerd’s Awards in the Arts. These awards are presented by the Meridian Arts Commission to recognize and encourage excellence in the arts throughout Meridian. Recipients will be recognized in a ceremony in September 2024, honoring those who have shown excellence in the arts throughout the Meridian.

“These awards are an opportunity to shine a light on the work that our community members are doing in the arts,” says Meridian Arts Commission Chair, Crystal Paulson. “If you know an excellent Meridian teacher, student, or other individual working in the arts or a business or individual that supports the arts, please submit a nomination to let Meridian know how impactful their work has been to our community!”

The Awards will be divided into the four following categories: Excellence in the Arts, Support of the Arts, Arts in Education, and Student Excellence in the Arts. Please consider nominating a deserving individual, student, business or organization, and/or an art educator for these awards. Nominations for all categories must be submitted by Friday, May 17, 2024, at noon.
