United States Passports

The City of Meridian Clerk’s office is a passport application acceptance facility. We accept applications for new passports on behalf of the U.S. Department of State. We process the first portion of your application and then mail it to the U.S. Department of State. The State Department then will review and finish processing your passport.

We accept passport applications by appointment only between the hours of 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Passport services are provided in English. Should you need an interpreter, you must arrange to have your own interpreter in person or on the phone.

Passport fees are only payable by check, money order or cashier’s check. The U.S. Department of State is unable to accept cash or credit/debit card.

Each individual applying for a passport must be present at the appointment, including children. Children under the age of 16 must have consent from both parents. If only one parent is able to appear, a notarized consent form, DS-3053 is required in place of that absent parent. We highly recommend you visit the website travel.state.gov for all the required documents you might need for your appointment.

IF YOU DO NOT SEE AVAILABLE APPOINTMENTS, THAT MEANS THERE ARE NO OPENINGS AT THIS TIME. CHECK THE WEBSITE ANOTHER TIME. APPOINTMENTS ARE NOT BOOKED MORE THAN THREE WEEKS IN ADVANCE.
