Public Meeting Information

View upcoming meetings and their corresponding agendas here.

Meetings of the Meridian City Council and the City's various commissions are held at Meridian City Hall and can be viewed via YouTube or Zoom. The schedule of public meetings is available here. They are also streamed to the City's YouTube page.

Most City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission have opportunities for public participation. Options are available to participate virtually in a public meeting or simply view the meeting online. Instructions for both are provided below.

The meeting will be live streamed at the following link: Meridiancity.org/live. If the link is not working, you can join the meeting using Zoom here.

Provide public testimony during City Council Meetings and Public Forums


In real time:
Step 1: View the resources and tips and tricks below to become familiar with the Zoom platform and prepare for the meeting.
Step 2: To sign up to speak during a City Council Meeting, including the Public Forum Use Council Sign-Up Link ». To sign up to testify at a Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting Use PZ Signup Link ».
Step 3: Join the meeting at the View with Zoom » link, or dial by phone at the time of the meeting.
Step 4: You will be asked to unmute when you are called on to speak. Your camera will not be enabled unless you will be sharing an exhibit and have sent that to the Clerk as explained in Step 2.

Note: Public Forum is only available at City Council Regular Meetings, and speaking during this time requires advance sign up via the link above or in person prior to the beginning of the meeting. Please consult the City Council Regular Meeting agenda for Public Forum guidelines.
If you wish to provide an exhibit for reference during your public testimony, please email the exhibit no later than noon the day of the meeting in PDF or PowerPoint format to cityclerk@meridiancity.org.

Other forms of testimony:

If you are unavailable to participate in real-time, you can submit your testimony in advance in a number of ways. All forms of testimony hold the same weight.

Written testimony may be submitted by email to comment@meridiancity.org. Video testimony can be recorded in advance and sent by email to comment@meridiancity.org. Voicemail comments are also accepted by calling (208) 288-5607 to record your voice testimony.

Resources & tips to participate by phone on Zoom


  • Dial an in-country number. If you dial a toll number, your carrier rates will apply.
  • You will be prompted to enter the meeting ID - the nine (9), ten (10), or eleven (11) digit ID provided to you by the host, followed by #.
  • If you’re using Zoom, you may need to download the zoom meeting app to your device.
  • If using cellular, stay in one place where you have a good signal.

  •  If you’re using computer audio, make sure you have a microphone if you need to talk. (If not, use the call in feature)

  • If you have audio problems, switch to the phone call option.

  • If you’re using Zoom, you may need to download the zoom meeting app to your device.

  • If using cellular, stay in one place where you have a good signal.

FAQ - Joining a Meeting

You can join a meeting by clicking the meeting link or by going to join.zoom.us and entering in the meeting ID. This information will be sent to you by email once you sign up.
Use COUNCIL MEETING SIGNUP to provide Council meeting public testimony.

On most devices, you can join computer/device audio by clicking Join Audio, Join with Computer Audio, or Audio to access the audio settings.

Yes, as long as the Bluetooth device is compatible with the computer or mobile device that you are using.

While you are not required to have a webcam to join a Zoom Meeting or Webinar, you will not be able to transmit video of yourself without one. You will continue to be able to listen and speak when called upon for Public Testimony. You will also be able to view video of other participants that do have cameras.
