Storey Park, Meridian’s oldest City park established in 1980 and named after former Meridian Mayor Don Storey, is 14 acres in size and located at the intersection of Main Street and Franklin Road near downtown Meridian, the Meridian Dairy Barns, and the Meridian Speedway. In addition to being a City park, Storey Park is home to the Meridian Pool, the Meridian Chamber of Commerce office building (a non-City entity), and the Storey Bark Park off-leash dog park.

Picnic Shelter Available to Rent:

Note: During times when there is not a paid reservation on a picnic shelter, it may be used for free on a first-come first-served basis.

Picnic shelters may not be reserved or occupied between 2:00 and 4:00 pm daily (with the exception of full-day reservations), as this is when crews come through to clean the shelters.

Blue Picnic Shelter  (Near playground)
Capacity: 200 (generally 9 picnic tables)
Rental Fee: $50 plus tax per four-hour time block (9am-2pm or 4-9pm)
Rental includes access to power and use of free charcoal grill

Green Picnic Shelter  (located between the ballfields and near horseshoe pits)
Capacity: 200 (generally 6 picnic tables)
Rental Fee: $40 plus tax per time block (9am-2pm or 4-9pm)
Rental includes access to power and use of free charcoal grill

Ball Fields

Storey Park has one reservable adult baseball field (Mo Brooks Field) and one reservable adult softball field. These fields can be rented for a rate of $5 per half hour or $75 maximum for the day. Both can be illuminated for an additional fee.
