About

The Homecourt Facility was built in 2005 because of the generosity of Susan Norby, Jill Stevens, Linda Yanke, and their families. In 2006 the facility was donated to the Treasure Valley Family YMCA and the doors opened to the public for the first time. After ten years, and a community that doubled in size, the City of Meridian purchased the Homecourt on September 30th, 2016, and the YMCA began development of a new full family YMCA facility in South Meridian.

The Homecourt facility is approximately 49, 000 square feet, with 35, 000 square feet comprised of four NBA-sized basketball courts. On those courts there are currently 12 pickleball courts and 6 volleyball courts.  We also have a 7,000 square foot area we call Bay 5.  In this area we have a multipurpose flooring that has 2 more pickleball courts, one volleyball court, and two badminton courts.

The facility provides the community a place to enjoy all types of indoor recreation year round. On a typical day, more than 450 people use the facility.

The City offers “Open Gym” seven days a week from 6:30pm to 9:30pm, with a different scheduled activity each day. Other programs offered at the Meridian Homecourt include morning pickleball, noon basketball, pickleball classes, and the Meridian Adult Volleyball and Basketball leagues.

When City programs are not using the gym area, the courts are open for rental by the public. The facility also serves as the practice home for several youth volleyball and basketball organizations.
