  • We would love to have art out on the town all weekend long. Please share your art on multiple days if you are creating & sharing  a lot of art. 
  • Post hints to where your art is hidden using our hashtag #MeridianOrnamentDrop.

The Meridian Art Drop is a peer-to-peer art exchange throughout Meridian Art Week. To participate, create a small piece of art, label your creation with the printable Meridian Art Drop form, and share by hiding your art in downtown Meridian for someone else to find and keep.

Historical Walking Tour
A self-guided historical walking tour is available year round. We invite you to come to Meridian City Hall to pick up a free walking tour brochure, or download the free “Meridian Historic Walking Tour” app on your iPhone or Android), to enjoy additional photos, videos and narratives about each property while you walk.

Mural Paintings
September 7-10
Key Detail, unBound, 722 E. 2nd St.

This team of artists from New York and they will install a mural on the south facing wall at the unBound tech library during the week. 
Artist Miguel Almeida and apprentice artist Macy RatzesbergerTully Skatepark, 2500 N. Linder Rd.
Miguel and Macy will collaborate to install murals at Meridian’s Tully Skatepark.

Various plein air painters will be scattered around downtown painting Meridian scenes. Stop and chat with these artists; some may be selling cards or prints.

Basic Floral Design – The Flower Place

The Flower Place is offering a class to instruct students on several basic design techniques for floral design through hands on experimentation.

Meridian Art Week Kick-Off
Generation’s Plaza (at Main & Idaho in Downtown Meridian)

We kick off Meridian Art Week with a fun drop-in art project and live music by Optiflynn! It will also be a nice opportunity to meet some of the artists, instructors and downtown business owners taking part in this year’s Meridian Art Week.

Come and learn some fun painting techniques taught by Niki. You will be able to paint your own sign to take home with you! There will also be a variety of make and take kits available for purchase during Meridian Art Week. Registration fee is due prior to class and all art materials are included in class price.

Make and Take Ornament

Free Drop-In Activity
As You Wish Clothiers invites anyone interested to stop in to create an angel ornament using scraps of their unique fabrics. The ornament you make is yours to keep and take home.

Initial Point Gallery Opening Reception

Drop by the Initial Point Gallery to view the new art exhibit by the College of Western Idaho Faculty and to meet several of the artists. Admission is free; All welcome.

The Meridian Main Street Market is a traditional farmer’s market, but it is unique in that it provides opportunities for youth vendors, as well. It also gives the public the chance to support local small businesses, farms and entrepreneurs. Learn more at

Food Photography Masterclass

Treasure Valley Children’s Theater Fall Production

Tammy de Weerd’s Awards in the Arts and Concert on Broadway – High Street Party Band

6:30PM Arts Awards / 7:00 PM Concert
Recipients of the 2022 Tammy de Weerd’s Awards in the Arts will be honored at 6:30 pm; at 7:00 pm the High Street Party Band will perform popular hits from across the decades. There will be a dessert food cart, live music, and fun to be had by all. Please consider bringing folding chairs or a lawn blanket as amphitheater seating is limited. Free.
