The Planning Division is committed to meeting the business needs of our valued customers. Planning team members can be reached via phone or email, Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.  Please call 208-884-5533 for any questions you may have about Planning applications or to be routed to a planner.  Effective June 1st, 2020, ALL Planning application types will be available for electronic submission through the Citizen’s Access Portal (ACA). Customers will be able to submit applications, pay fees, and track the progress of planning applications anytime, anywhere.  No more need to hand-deliver physical plans, documents, CDs or payments to the department – no more zip file applications either.  Once an application is submitted, customers will be able to monitor their project’s progress through the ACA portal.  We will continue to refine our planning application types over the next several months to make them more user-friendly, intuitive and efficient.  We are excited about these efforts and hope that you experience this as a positive change. 

We have created How To Guides that are available under the “Home” tab on the ACA landing page.  These guides will be helpful in helping you navigate the application process.

We are located on the first floor of the City Hall at 33 E. Broadway Suite 102(just north of the railroad tracks between Main Street and Meridian Road). As you enter City Hall, take a left and go to Community Development south on the first floor.
